The AISB School is operated by an association called ‘American International School Association, Bamako’. The members of the association are the parents or guardians of AISB students, along with the Director and Faculty. The Board of Trustees is the governing body of the association.
The Board is looking for new members for the school year 2021-2022. The Board is comprised of 7 voting members, so called trustees. A list of the roles and responsibilities can be found here and here.
All parents are eligible for the Board. The Board self-selects an executive: Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Typically, the Board meets once a month and its members also join in regular meetings of the sub-committees.
